What excavation services do you offer in Adelaide?

Our services include bulk and detailed earthworks, wet hire excavation, hydro excavation, underground service locating and utility installation. We also provide project management, 3D GPS final trim, footpath renewal and carpark upgrade works.

Can I hire an excavator with an operator?

Yes. Flow offers wet hire excavation, which combines equipment with an operator. Tell us the type of work, site access, location and proposed dates so we can discuss the right setup and availability. Dry hire is also available.

When is hydro excavation useful?

Hydro excavation uses water to loosen soil and a vacuum to remove it. It can be useful when exposing underground services or working in areas that need a controlled approach. The right method depends on the site and the services involved.

What is 3D GPS final trim?

Our GPS-equipped excavators use machine control to compare the bucket position with the design model in real time. That means accurate levels and grades, fewer survey set-outs and less rework on pavements, carparks and footpaths.

Do you locate underground services before digging?

Yes. Underground service locating is one of our core services. We identify and mark existing services before excavation, and can use hydro excavation to safely expose them and confirm their position.

Can you help with a residential or commercial project?

We work across residential developments and commercial civil works. Whether you need site preparation, trenching or a larger package of civil works, contact us to discuss the scope and suitability.

Do you work with councils and government?

Yes. Recent work includes footpath renewal for Charles Sturt Council, and sports lighting and irrigation civil works for the Angle Vale and Aldinga Super Schools.

How many machines can you supply?

Our fleet includes 17 excavators and trucks, and we can supply up to 25 machines on any day of the year by drawing on additional hire and local labour.

Do you reinstate the site after the works?

Yes. Full surface reinstatement is part of our capability, from backfill and compaction through to preparing surfaces for concrete or bitumen.

What do you need to prepare a quote?

Start with your site address, the work you need, your preferred timeframe and any access restrictions. Let us know if you have plans, drawings or photos. We will discuss any further information or site assessment needed before confirming the scope.
